
The Guide’s Cabin
The Guide’s Cabin is a one room log cabin that has a queen size bed, table, a bathroom with a shower, and a small kitchenette with only a cooktop stove. (no oven). The enclosed porch offers protection from the wind or rain or to store your wet gear after a day in the woods. The state of Maine started licensing Maine guides in 1897. The first Registered Maine Guide was Cornelia Thurza Crosby, or “Fly Rod Crosby”, as she was popularly known.
