ATVing in Jackman, Maine

ATV Trails in Jackman are some of the best in the state. When you stay with us at Cozy Cove Cabins, you can ride your ATV right from your cabin door. From Jackman you can ride to many great destinations. The Border Riders Sportsman’s Club work very hard to keep the trails graded, signed, and cleared of brush and other obstacles.

Riding south to The Forks provides fantastic mountain views. The trail is mostly easy cruising on logging roads, with some slightly more technical spots along the way. There are several excellent places to stop for lunch while riding to The Forks. Riding to The Forks is a great day trip from Jackman. During the fall plan for the trip to take a bit longer because you will be blown away by the breathtaking foliage.

Another destination is the historic Pittston Farm. The trail starts out as an easy cruise on logging roads. There are some fun technical sections where you can get some mud on your tires. There are some excellent spots along the way to stop for a picnic lunch. If Pittston Farm is open and serving food, it is definitely worth stopping for a delicious meal.

The Rockwood trail is another fun ride out of Jackman. There are some sections on the trail that are very technical with rock crawling and water holes. It is a great ride for those looking for a “real ATV trail.” There are several places to grab a great meal as well as fuel up your ATV in Rockwood.

For a shorter ride you can head north towards the Canadian border. There is a cool picnic spot along the way at Arnold Farm. You can also park your machine on the side of the trail and hike in to Slidedown Falls. The border trail is about a half day ride.
